New Delhi: The ICAI has told the apex court that due to the ever-increasing cases of Corona, the examination of the Chartered Accountant i.e. CA between July and August has been canceled. Now this exam can be held in November. Earlier in the last hearing, CA students were relieved from the apex court and the court asked the ICAI to extend the date for allowing students to change the examination center due to coronavirus. The students emailed ICAI and asked them to follow the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs in the middle of the examination.
The Supreme Court suggested to the ICAI that students who are unable to attend the examination will be treated as 'opt out cases' even if they do not opt for the opt out option. The court said that the situation is constantly changing. Even if a candidate has not opted for 'Opt Out' and falls in the contention zone, what will you do?
The apex court had earlier told the ICAI that students should be given the option to change the examination center for the examination. The court said that you will allow the center to change the option till the last week. The situation is not stable it is dynamic. You have to change according to the situation of the area and the concerns of the students of the area. You have to be flexible. Show some concern for students. Allowing the examination to be conducted in November, the apex court said that ICAI should consider resolving the students' suggestion regarding articleship and other.
