New Delhi: While hearing the NEET-PG case today (Tuesday), on February 8, the top court has refused to interfere in the NEET PG 2022 session matter. The court has asked the candidates to place their point of view with the central government regarding the extension of the deadline for completion of internship on 31 May 2022. The Supreme Court said that this is a policy matter, so we will not interfere in this right of the government.

Actually, the top court was hearing the petitions filed regarding NEET PG 2022. Candidates who have passed PG course through NEET have sought extension of the deadline for completion of internship to May 31, 2022. The reason for this is being told that he was on COVID duty in 2021. His internship has been delayed due to COVID duty which is a crucial factor to appear in the NEET PG 2022 exam.

Let us inform that the Union Health Ministry has decided to postpone the earlier scheduled NEET PG 2022 by four to six weeks only last week. On this, the petitioners have argued that there is a need to extend the time limit for the application as well. But a bench headed by Justice DY Chandrachud said that he would not interfere in the matter. This is a policy matter related to the executive.
