New Delhi: The stand of the Congress in the famous Ayodhya's Ram Mandir and Babri Masjid case is not hidden from anyone. At the time of being in power, Congress has given an affidavit in the Supreme Court saying that Ram never existed and he is just an imagination. However, after this hearing that went on for many years, the Supreme Court gave its verdict in this matter and ordered the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. But, now Congress does not believe in the decision of the Supreme Court. Senior Congress leader Rashid Alvi has targeted the central government regarding this matter and has raised questions on the Supreme Court's decision regarding the Ram Janmabhoomi case.

The Congress leader says that many people believe that the apex court's decision in the Ram Janmabhoomi case was given under pressure from the government. He has also said that giving government jobs to judges is unfortunate. Alvi said that according to a report, 50 percent of the retired judges of the apex court are sent by the government somewhere. Due to this, people's faith in the judiciary decreases. He said that Justice Ranjan Gogoi had just been sent to the Rajya Sabha. Now the government has appointed Justice S. Abdul Nazir as the governor.

Congress leader Rashid Alvi further said, 'Many people have been questioning the decision given by the apex court regarding Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid that it was given under the pressure of the government. The appointment of Justice Nazeer as Governor after Justice Gogoi further strengthens their suspicions. Article 50 of the constitution says that the judiciary and the executive should be separate. The government should try that the judiciary should be completely separate and it should have nothing to do with the executive.'

Accusing former Governor of Maharashtra Bhagat Singh Koshyari, who recently resigned from his post, the Congress leader said that he has been continuously making such statements that are linked to the ideology of RSS. The Governor of Tamil Nadu is also doing the same thing. Many governors of the North East are doing the same thing. The Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammad Khan, is doing the same thing. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said, 'Instead of protecting the Constitution, the Governor talks about the ideology of RSS and BJP. He thinks that if the leadership of BJP and Sangh is happy then he will get more progress.'

Let us tell you that Justice Abdul Nazeer and Justice Gogoi were part of the 5-member constitutional bench that gave the verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi dispute. Justice Nazeer recently retired as a judge of the apex court on January 4, 2023. Justice Nazeer was also among the judges who gave the verdict on the 'triple talaq' case.
