New Delhi: For a long time, the Supreme Court has announced to the Kerala government to enact a special law for the management and maintenance of the historic Sabarimala temple. The same bench headed by Justice NV Ramana directed the state government to introduce the bill in the third week of January, which covers all aspects of welfare of the pilgrims visiting there. The Supreme Court has issued this instruction while hearing the petition related to the temple management.

According to the information received, the counsel for the state government told the bench that the government has amended the law to manage and maintain the temple. In the amended bill, the temple gives one-third representation for women in the advisory committee. On this, the bench asked how women can be in the committee, while the seven-member bench is yet to investigate the question of essential religious practices. On this, the Kerala government said that if the ban on the entry of women in the temple can be withdrawn, then only women above 50 years of age are being included in the committee. On this, Justice BR Gavai, who was in the bench, remarked that the September 2018 decision to repeal the ban on the entry of women between 10 and 50 years is upheld. However, the order to make a new law is not related to the decision given to women to enter the temple, because the administration and management of the temple has been linked to this matter.

Death of devotee after darshan: After getting information from sources, let us tell you that a 76-year-old devotee from Mumbai died of a heart attack after visiting Lord Ayyappa at Sabarimala temple in Kerala.
