New Delhi: The Supreme Court has imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on a doctor of Ayurveda claiming treatment for corona. Om Prakash Vaid Gyanatara of Haryana had filed a PIL in the Supreme Court and requested the Court that he had discovered the medicine for the treatment of corona. Gyanatra had said that his medicine should be used by all doctors and hospitals across the country.

Gyanatara, who has a degree in Ayurvedic medicine and surgery (BAMS), had asked the court to order the Secretary, Government of India, Health Department to use his medicines for the treatment of coronavirus. On this, the apex court said that the court believes that the information put through Gyanatara's PIL is completely false. It is necessary to get the message among the people that they should not file a PIL in the top court with such absurd things.

Earlier on Thursday, a bench headed by Chief Justice of the Supreme Court SA Bobde asked the doctor to go to the Delhi High Court who demanded the introduction of homoeopathy medicine in the treatment of corona. Two homoeopathy doctors had approached the apex court to initiate homoeopathy treatment in cases of mild symptoms of corona. The petition demanded that the central government be ordered in this regard so that homoeopathy medicine should be used for the treatment of coronavirus. The apex court said that the petitioner should go to the Delhi High Court.
