New Delhi: The center's Modi government has been dealt a major blow to the country's largest court. The Supreme Court has stayed the implementation of agricultural laws till further orders. The court also passed an order to constitute a committee to resolve the issue. The Committee will now discuss to solve the problem. During the hearing, the Supreme Court had asked sharp questions from both sides.
Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Border asked, "We have an application which says that the banned organizations are helping in this demonstration. Will the attorney general accept it or refuse it?" On this, Attorney General K K Venugopal said, "We had said that there is the infiltration of Khalistanis into the demonstration. The court said, the central government should file an affidavit by tomorrow. In reply, the attorney general will give an affidavit and also record the IB.
On the other hand, advocate Vikas Singh of farmers' organizations said that farmers can go from the demonstration site to the place where the demonstrations appear. Otherwise, there will be no justification for performance. The farmers said that they should be given Ramlila Maidan for demonstration. The apex court said that we will order the farmers to apply for permission from the Commissioner of Police for demonstration at Ramlila Maidan or elsewhere.
