New Delhi: Vikas Yadav, convicted for 25 years in Tihar Jail in the 2002 Nitish Katara murder case, received a major blow from the Supreme Court on Monday. The court has dismissed the parole petition of Vikas Yadav. The court has said that your sentence of 25 years remains intact. Why do you want parole? Vikas Yadav had filed a review petition in the apex court.

The petitioner's lawyer said that Vikas Yadav was imprisoned for 17.5 years. It is his fundamental right to parole him. On this, the court has said that from where did the fundamental right come in the sentence of 25 years? In this case, Vikas Yadav said that he has been imprisoned for 17 years. He should be paroled because he has not got parole even once till date. Vikas Yadav had demanded parole for four weeks.

Actually Vikas Yadav challenged the decision of Delhi High Court, in which parole was refused. Earlier, the Delhi High Court has also rejected parole plea of Vikas Yadav. Let us tell you that Vikas Yadav, son of Bahubali leader DP Yadav, is imprisoned in Tihar Jail in Nitish Katara murder case, he has been sentenced to 25 years.
