New Delhi: The top court has refused to hear the demand for CBI investigation in the Bollywood actor Sushant Singh death case. The court has said to the petitioner who filed the PIL, "You have nothing to do with the case. However, if you have anything concrete to say, then put it in the Mumbai High Court."

A social worker named Alka Priya, who hails from Bihar, described the circumstances related to Sushant's death as suspicious. In her petition, a CBI inquiry was demanded, describing the investigation being done by Mumbai Police as inadequate. The petition is heard in a bench headed by Chief Justice SA Bobde. The bench refused to hear this petition filed directly in the Supreme Court under Article 32.

The Chief Justice said, "Let the police do their work. You have no direct connection with this case." Advocate KB Upadhyay, appearing for the petitioner, said, "Sushant was a very good person. He had taken a lot of poor children to NASA to study at his expense." To this, the Chief Justice said, "The question is not whether a person was good or bad. The question is of jurisdiction. We do not think that the matter should be heard by the Supreme Court directly."
