New Delhi: On a plea seeking registration of a case against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders who made inflammatory speeches in the Delhi violence, Chief Justice Sharad Arvind Bobde of the Supreme Court has said that the petitioner Harsh Mander will not be heard at the moment. CJI Bobde said that the lawyers of the riot victims who have filed the second petition can put their side. Dalit asked the petitioner to go to the High Court. The SC has asked the High Court to hear the matter on Friday (March 5).

It is noteworthy that HC had deferred the matter of filing an FIR against the BJP leaders who made inflammatory speeches till April 13. After the order of the apex court, the hearing will be held in the High Court on Friday. The court said that we can hear the other petitioners. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta opposed the plea saying that the matter is under consideration in Delhi HC, the apex court should not hear it.

Opposing the petition in the apex court, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the petitioner Harsh Mander went to Shaheenbagh to incite the protesters. Mander had said that whatever happens will be on the road, not much can be expected from the top court. The petitioner did not express confidence in the apex court and spoke against the Supreme Court.
