Supreme Court refuses to put stay on arrest of Tandav team

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan's web series 'Tandav' has been in controversies since its release. The series has been filed in several states for hurting the sentiments of Hindus. The apex court has issued a notice against the producer, writer and actor of Tandav for interconnecting the FIR lodged across the country. The court also refused to order a stay on the arrest. The next hearing will take place after 4 weeks of the case. The court said that go to the High Court for this relief.

There is a protest from the people over the Tandav web series. The Tandav series is rocking the country. The series has been accused of disrespecting Hindu deities and making caste comments. An FIR has been lodged against the Tandav web series at Hazratganj police station in Uttar Pradesh's capital Lucknow. It may be noted that a team of Uttar Pradesh police had gone to the house of Tandav series director Abbas Zafar on Thursday. He had given a notice saying that he should appear before the investigating officer for questioning on January 27 in Lucknow.

The UP Police is investigating the entire case in Lucknow over the case against web series manufacturers. The Tandav web series stars Saif Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Sunil Grover, Tingmanshu Dhulia, Dino Moria, Kumud Mishra, Mohammad Zeeshan, Ayub, Gauhar Khan and Kratika Kamra. It was premiered last Friday.
