New Delhi: Former CM of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference (NC) Farooq Abdullah has been given a shocking blow by the Supreme Court. The court has rejected the petition challenging the custody of Farooq Abdullah. Let us tell you that after the repeal of 370 granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir, many leaders including MDMK chief Vaiko filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

These petitions were said to introduce Farooq Abdullah. Vaiko has said in his petition that Farooq Abdullah, the leader of the National Conference and former CM of Jammu and Kashmir, could not be contacted, he was placed in the house arrest after the abolition of Section 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from this, the Supreme Court while hearing the petition filed on Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order to the Central Government to re-start landline phone and high-speed service in private health centers, private-government hospitals, etc. in all the districts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Let us tell you that Farooq Abdullah, former CM of Jammu Kashmir and president of the National Conference, has been detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA). A person detained under the Public Safety Act can be detained without trial for up to 2 years. Rajya Sabha MP and former CM Farooq Abdullah has been a house arrest since August 5 last month. But Abdullah has been booked a few days ago under the PSA.
