New Delhi: The Supreme Court has refused to give the rent exemption due to the shutdown of work during the lockdown implemented across the country due to the Corona scandal. The Supreme Court has rejected the demand for concession in paying the rent of the Chamber-Office to the lawyers of the Supreme Court Bar Association. The court says that no special exemption can be granted to lawyers.

The Supreme Court, while hearing the petition, said that tomorrow the architects and engineers will come to the court seeking exemption in the rent. In many cases the landlord also depends on the rent, the court cannot put lawyers in a special or separate category. After this, the Supreme Court Bar Association demanded that if the lawyers are not being given relief in paying the rent, then at least this relief should be given that the tenant should vacate the landlord to vacate his place for non-payment of rent.

It is forbidden to use the provision stated in the law against the landlord if the tenant does not pay the rent, then the landlord can vacate his place on this basis. But the Supreme Court refused to hear the case. After this, the petitioner Supreme Court Bar Association withdrew its petition in the court.
