New Delhi: The students who missed the last chance to take the Civil Services Examination (UPSC) 2020 exam have received a big blow from the Supreme Court. The country's apex court dismissed the petition of the students on Wednesday. In fact, those whose age limit for taking the UPSC examination had ended in October 2020, had reached the Supreme Court seeking an extension of the last attempt, but the court has rejected the petition.

Before that, on 05 February, the Center had agreed to give an additional chance to the candidates who had lost the opportunity for a final attempt, but with the condition that they should be within the age bar. In this case, students had also demanded age relaxation, which has been rejected by the Supreme Court today.

The Supreme Court, while considering the case, considered that everyone has got enough time to prepare for the exam and that if age relaxation is given for the extra structure, it will be unfair to other students. After this, students can also demand age relaxation by citing this decision, which will not yield any solution.
