New Delhi: Thousands of farmers agitating on the border of the capital city are now on a possible Supreme Court ruling on Tuesday to protest against the agricultural laws. The farmers ' agitation at Kundli, Tikari, Singhu border has entered the 47th day today. At present, there has been no change in the contours of the agitation. The eyes of farmers and farmer leaders remained on the day-long hearing in the Supreme Court.
Farmer leaders say the forthcoming movement strategy will be finalised after the Supreme Court decides on Tuesday. As per the pre-determined program, the Republic Day parade is being prepared to carry tractors. The apex court, while hearing the Kisan agitation on Monday, strongly told the central government that if you do not stop the three agricultural laws, we will put it. At the same time, the court asked the farmers whether they would go to our committee.
The Apex court has now asked the government and the parties to give some names so that they can be included in the Committee. The court said that the interest of the people is necessary for us, now the Committee will tell whether the law is in the interest of the people or not. A bench comprising Chief Justice (CJI) Sharad Arvind Border, Justices A S Bopanna, and V Ramasubramanian, while commenting on the hearing, said why the three laws should not have stayed till the committee constituted by the Court considers the matter and submits its report.
