Patna: The number of children dying of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome in several districts of the state has now reached 130. On the other hand, the Supreme Court has agreed to hear a plea on the disease on Monday. The petition sought immediate setting up of a team of medical experts to treat children suffering from the disease.

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case on June 24. Out of 130, 112 deaths have taken place in Muzaffarpur alone. People are bringing their children to Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital Hospital, Muzaffarpur. People are alleging that their children are not being hospitalized. People say that they were never given ORS for their children.

"No one has told us anything about ORS or given it," says the parents who are coming here. We do not even know the symptoms of AES. Our children have been in a fever for 4-5 days. The doctors asked us to bring medicines for the children. And said that if the children do not get a fever, they will be admitted. We don't have money.
