Lucknow: The Supreme Court's order to preserve the 'Shivling' found in the disputed Gyanvapi complex in Varanasi, the city of Baba Vishwanath, is about to expire. The Chief Justice of the apex court (CJI) DY Chandrachud has accepted the demand for an early hearing on the plea to preserve the 'Shiviling' area found in the Gyanvapi complex. In fact, the order of the Supreme Court to preserve the 'Shivling' area in Gyanvapi expires on November 12. That is why the Hindu side has appealed to the Supreme Court, seeking to carry forward the final order issued by the Supreme Court regarding the protection and security of the Shivling found in the premises.

Now, the apex court will hear the demand for the continuation of the Shivling protection order on November 11 at 3 pm. Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, appearing for the Hindu side, said that the order for the protection of Shivling is only till November 12, which was given by the top court in May. The Supreme Court asked what has been ordered by the Lower Court on 7/11. On this Vishnu has told that the lower court has rejected the petition of the Muslim side. CJI DY Chandrachud said that a new bench will have to be formed for protection, the new bench will hear the matter tomorrow at 3 pm.

Let us tell you that in August 2021, 5 women filed a petition in Shringar Gauri for the worship and protection of Deities. On this, Civil Judge Senior Division Ravi Kumar Diwakar appointed the court commissioner and ordered a survey of the Gyanvapi campus. The Hindu side claimed that Shivling was found during the survey. Whereas the Muslim side said that it is a fountain. However, the Hindu side's demand for a carbon dating test answering the question of Shivling or fountain was not approved by the court. After this, the Hindu side demanded the sealing of the disputed site and the Sessions Court ordered to seal it. The Muslim side had reached the Supreme Court against this. The Supreme Court had transferred the matter to the District Judge and directed him to hear the adjudication on the maintainability of the suit on a regular basis. The District Judge had also considered the petition seeking worship maintainable.
