New Delhi: The Supreme Court will hear the petition filed by the party against the Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari giving the Shiv Sena only 24 hours to form the government. The court will see if Shiv Sena's application needs to be heard immediately.

In fact, On Tuesday, Shiv Sena approached the Supreme Court against the decision of the Governor not to extend the 24-hour time given to prove majority to form the government. Shiv Sena has 56 seats in the 288-member assembly and has emerged as the second-largest party. The Shiv Sena said that it was forced to move the Supreme Court to get immediate relief from the Governor's "arbitrary and malicious actions".

The party has demanded the cancellation of the Governor's order and declared the Governor's order unconstitutional, arbitrary, illegal and a violation of Article 14 of the Constitution. The governor had invited Shiv Sena to say that the largest party, BJP, was unable to form the government.
