The Supreme Court of India will today hear a petition on former Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah challenging his detention under the Public Safety Act. Sarah Abdullah Pilot, sister of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Pilot Under the Supreme Court to challenge his custody. A hearing will be held today in the Supreme Court regarding this petition.

The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr. Farooq Abdullah once again came to meet Omar Abdullah. This is the second time since his release when Farooq arrived to meet Omar. The former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and the current MP Dr. Farooq Abdullah, who was under house arrest for about seven months, was released on Friday.

Soon after his release, Farooq Abdullah thanked the MPs who fought for his release and said that only after the release of all the leaders would he be able to take a decision about the future. Abdullah said, "I am free... Hopefully, the other leaders will also be released soon. Thanks to all the MPs who fought for my release."
