Today is the birthday of the famous actress of the entertainment industry Surekha Sikri. Today, Surekha Sikri may not have been among us, but her memories are still alive today. With her amazing acting, Surekha has always made everyone go crazy. After doing wonders in films, Surekha gained the most popularity from Colors' serial Balika Vadhu. The role of the grandmother of this show had taken her to the heights. Her strong mood in the show was very much liked by the audience. Surekha was born on April 19, 1945, in New Delhi. She was very good at studies since childhood. On Surekha's birthday, we introduce you to some of her things.

It was Surekha's childhood dream to grow up to be a journalist or a writer. But fate had something else in store for it. Surekha was studying in Aligarh Muslim University when once Abraham Alkazi Saheb came there with a play of his own. The name of the play was The King Lear. This play had such an impact on Surekha that she made up her mind to take admission in the National School of Drama.

Surekha Sikri has worked in many of the best films in her career such as, Qissa Kursi Ka, Salim Langde Pe Mat Ro, Little Buddha, Naseem, Sardari Begum, Sarfarosh, Dillagi, Hari-Bhari, Zubaida, Mr and Mrs Iyer, Raincoat, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Dev D and Badhaai Ho. Surekha Sikri had suffered her first brain stroke in early 2018, due to which she had been away from acting for a long time. While shooting in Mahabaleshwar, Surekha slipped into the bathroom, and her head hit the wall there. After which Surekha Sikri's condition worsened a lot. Surekha Sikri died on July 16 due to cardiac arrest at the age of 75.
