Indian wicket-keeper batsman MS Dhoni supported Suresh Raina in every difficult time and Raina also never disappointed him. Recently, former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh had given a statement that when Dhoni was the captain, Suresh Raina was his favorite player at that time. Now Raina responded to Yuvraj's saying that Mahi Bhai always used to support me, because he knew that I am talented. He supported me and I did well for Team India and Chennai Super Kings.

Raina said that the best thing about Dhoni was that after two matches, he would say that if you do not score, then a big step has to be taken. Then I used to ask him for a chance in one or two matches. Talking to Fancode, Raina said that Dhoni used to caution him during bad form and he also assured him that he would not repeat mistakes.

Raina said that the batsmen have to face a lot of challenges in the middle order. There are different challenges in every match. Batting in the middle order is not easy. Sometimes you have to bat 10 to 15 overs and sometimes 30 overs. Every time a different situation has to be faced. I took the challenge of the middle order positively. Raina said that I am thankful to Dhoni, because he always supported me. He always knew what kind of talent I had. He was our greatest captain after Sourav Ganguly. Dhoni joined us in 2011 and that is why I became a part of the World Cup winning team.
