Suriya currently has too much on his plate. The actor will next be seen in Selvaraghavan's film NGK, which is slated to release on May 31. His other film Kaappaan, with director KV Anand, is also gearing up for a release on August 30. The project will be bankrolled by Studio Green, and will have music composed by D Imman who is a go-to composer for rural subjects.
Meanwhile, Suriya has already started the shooting of his upcoming film Soorarai Pottruvom. The film is based on the story of GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan. Directed by Sudha Kongara, Soorarai Pottruvom has Aparna Balamurali in the female lead role. The actor also has finished shooting for KV Anand’s action-adventure Kaappaan which is scheduled to release in August and Suriya’s long-awaited political action drama ‘NGK’ will hit the screens on May 31.
After a long gap, Suriya will be returning to his mass image with this film that is expected to be a commercial action entertainer. Though Suriya has been doing some very interesting films off late, his fans are waiting for a big blockbuster at the box office just like how Ayan and Singam did back in 2009 and 2010 respectively. Siruthai Siva, the director of Ajith's films Veeram, Vedalam, Vivegam and Viswasam, is all set to team up with Suriya and the movie will be produced by Studio Green KE Gnanavelraja. In a tweet, the production house confirmed the upcoming project.
