Lucknow: Surprising news has emerged from Bijnor district of Uttar Pradesh. The police have arrested a person named Shahid here on the charge of killing his son Gulfam. Along with this, the knife used in the murder has also been recovered. The matter came to light when Shahid's wife lodged a complaint with the police station accusing him of killing their son.

Police arrested 45-year-old Shahid on 29 April 2023. He has accepted his crime. The accused told the police that he suspected an extramarital affair between his wife and son Gulfam. He tried to pacify them several times, but these people used to quarrel with him and used to beat him. Shahid used to ask his wife to live with him, but she preferred to live with her children instead of him. Shahid was often enraged by this.
The accused told the police that on March 5, 2023, he called his son Gulfam to village Hajipur and tried to convince him again, then he got angry and started arguing with him. Hurt by this, the accused attacked Gulfam with a knife, due to which he died on the spot. After committing the murder, Shahid hid the knife in the bushes in the mango orchard. According to the police, the mother of the deceased has alleged that her husband had a dispute with her son Gulfam over something.
After which the accused got angry and injured him by adopting a knife. After this Gulfam died. Action taken on the basis of the woman's complaint, the police have registered a case against Shahid under IPC section 302 (murder) and 4/25 Illegal Arms Act.
