Prayagraj: Shankaracharya Swami Nischalananda Saraswati of Puri Peeth has given a big statement in the Ayodhya Ram temple and Babri Masjid case, saying that for the construction of Babri Masjid, even an acre of land, five acres away, should not be given. He said that should not Ayodhya be given land in the name of a man who spreads a frenzy across the border of India and in any corner of the world.

He said that giving land for the Babri Masjid would mean glorifying a supporter of terrorism. On Monday, in his camp at Magh Mela, Shankaracharya expressed dissatisfaction with the press on the Supreme Court's verdict on the Ramjanmabhoomi dispute on November 9, saying that this will stigmatize history.

He further said that Shankaracharya's decision in religious and spiritual matters is above any court. In the meeting of the guide board at the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) camp located in Magh Mela, the saints demanded the government to give the responsibility of constructing the temple to the Ramjanmabhoomi Nyas. It was being speculated that in this meeting, saints can also declare the date of construction of the temple. Let us tell you that the Supreme Court had ordered the construction of a Ram temple at the disputed site.
