Jammu and Kashmir: The Indian Army held a two-day gala concert in Boniyar, India, on December 18th, to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Glorious Victory of Indian Armed Forces in the 1971 War. Various cultural events and activities were done by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Uri, the District Development Council (DDC) Boniyar, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Uri, and Army Officers.

The war started on December 3, 1971, and lasted 13 days, with Pakistan being attacked on all fronts. On December 16, the conflict came to an end with a ceasefire. Irtiza Muneer, one of the initiative's participants, expressed her delight at the opportunity to take part in the programme, which is being offered to the region.

“We did a patriotic dance to patriotic music. We are honoured to serve our country. We are commemorating the triumph of the 1971 war with Pakistan”, said Mubarak Ahmad, a local resident, who added that every Kashmiri, like every other state, wants peace, progress, and togetherness.

Soldiers from the 1971 war and previous conflicts are also shown. In the valley, we desire tranquilly. In Jammu and Kashmir, we want to see peace. We Kashmiris, like most other states in the region, are in desperate need of peace, progress, and happiness. I also encourage the Prime Minister to instill a positive attitude in Kashmir.
