Srinagar: The Union Home Ministry is in constant touch with the Jammu and Kashmir administration following a terror attack on a bus by security forces in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening. The incident is considered to be very serious. On the other hand, it is coming to light that the bus which was attacked from three sides was not bulletproof. Not only that, it is also being reported that the security personnel on the bus did not even have full weapons. Very few policemen had weapons. Three jawans were killed and a lot injured in the attack.
Officials say various aspects of the incident are being investigated. The terrorists opened fire on the tyre to stop the bus. This was followed by indiscriminate firing on the bus from three sides. It is being investigated as to if the terrorists who carried out this cowardly act are foreigners or locals. Keeping in view all aspects, at present, there are clear instructions to the security forces that the attackers should not escape under any circumstances. Officials said the possibility of hybrid terrorists being involved in the incident cannot be ruled out. The manner in which this attack has taken place shows that there must have been massive reiki before the attack.
Officials said the terrorists must have been aware that the train on which armed police force personnel are going is not bulletproof. Terrorists are constantly adopting new goals and new methods. Youth who have not been linked to terror earlier are being used for terrorist activities. Such youth do not join any terrorist organization. They are provided with weapons and money for terrorist activity. After carrying out the attacks, they return to the mainstream and mingle with the common people. It is difficult to identify them.
