Melbourne: After registering a thrilling win over Pakistan, Team India will play their second match in the T20 World Cup against the Netherlands at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Against this associate team, India captain Rohit Sharma can rest his key players. In the Super 12, India has to play a total of 5 matches and if the team reaches the top, then two additional matches will also be played, in such a situation, the captain would not want any of his players to sit out due to injury in a short match. For this reason, Rohit Sharma can decide to rest his key players today.

In the last match against Pakistan, captain Rohit Sharma left out Rishabh Pant, Harshal Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal and Deepak Hooda from the playing XI. Out of these, the chances of three players being given a chance today are high. While Harshal Patel will have a great opportunity to adapt to Australian conditions by playing against the Netherlands, Rohit would like Rishabh Pant to be boosted during the tournament. Since Dinesh Karthik's tremendous return to Team India, Pant's place in the T20 last eleven is becoming less. In such a situation, Rohit would like to play Pant in today's match and maintain his rhythm during the tournament. Pant can come in place of Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik in the team.

The third change in the team can be seen as a spinner. Against Pakistan, both Axar Patel and R Ashwin failed to take wickets. While Axar got to bowl only one over, Ashwin bowled three overs. Axar Patel gave Pakistan a chance to return to the match by leaking 21 runs from his single over, while Ashwin gave 23 runs in 3 overs. In such a situation, Yuzvendra Chahal can be played in place of either of these two today. Chahal can take advantage of Australia's big grounds.

India's probable playing XI: Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik/ Rishabh Pant, Axar Patel/Yuzvendra Chahal, Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Harshal Patel, and Arshdeep Singh.
