The T20 World Cup 2021 is set to begin today (October 17). The first match of the World Cup between UAE and Oman is scheduled to be played between Oman and Papua New Guinea. After nearly five years, the T20 World Cup has returned, the last World Cup was held in 2016, which was won by the West Indies. Several teams including India are in the race to win the title and are strong contenders. In that case, you know everything related to the World Cup.

Two matches will be played on the first day of the T20 World Cup 2021.  (October 17)
First match- Oman vs Papua New Guinea
2nd match- Bangladesh vs Scotland

After 5 years, the T20 World Cup is coming back. The World Cup was repeatedly postponed due to the Corona epidemic. Earlier, the World Cup was scheduled to be held in India, but due to corona, it was shifted to UAE-Oman. However, India is officially its host. A total of 16 teams are participating in the T20 World Cup this time, with the World Cup being played in a total of three stages. Round 1, Super-12 and Playoff matches. Round-1 begins on October 17, with 4-4 teams from two groups participating, with the top-2 team in their respective groups reaching the Super-12 stage.

The Super-12 stage will have two groups of 6-6 teams. 8 top teams are already scheduled, 4 teams will cross Round-1. In the Super-12 stage, the top-2 teams in their group will make it straight to the semi-finals. This is the first time that DRS has been selected in the T20 World Cup. Each team will get two reviews in an innings. In the match in Oman, only 3000 spectators will be able to come to the stadium, while up to 70 per cent of the UAE matches will be held. Everyone needs to be vaccinated.

Group A: Sri Lanka, Ireland, Netherlands, Namibia
Group B: Bangladesh, Scotland, Papua New Guinea, Oman

Super 12
Group 1: England, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, Group A top team, Group-B second team
Group 2: India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Second Team of Group A, Top Team of Group-B
