Melbourne:  The much-awaited T20 World Cup showdown between India and Pakistan is scheduled to take place on October 23 in Melbourne. The WWE and Hollywood superstar Dwayne Johnson, better known by his stage moniker "The Rock," intervened on Tuesday to raise anticipation for the contest between the bitter rivals.

The Rock has been touring India in support of his film Black Adam and has expressed his enthusiasm for the greatest cricket rivalry in the competition. The Rock said, "When the greatest rivals collide, the world will stand still," in a video that was posted on Star Sports Twitter. This contest goes beyond a simple game of cricket. Pakistan vs. India is about to begin.

Notably, India and Pakistan split their two matches against one another during the T20 Asia Cup in the UAE in 2022.
Also, during the T20 World Cup 2021 in Dubai last year, Pakistan smashed India by 10 wickets. It was Pakistan's first-ever World Cup triumph over the Men in Blue. India will therefore seek retribution when they face the Babar Azam-led team on Sunday.

Regarding both teams' preparations, on Monday, India overcame Australia by six runs in a dramatic warm-up game, while Pakistan was thoroughly humiliated by England in their subsequent warm-up game.

Now, India will play New Zealand in their second warm-up game, and Pakistan will play Afghanistan in their final game. On October 19, both games will be played.
