Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu's 'Thappad' is steadily slowing down at the box office. Even the film has not reached nearly the budget. There remains a fluctuation in the collection of the film. Currently, the story of this film is being appreciated by the audience but the collection is not showing any increase. 'Thappad' has collected 1.5 to 2 crores according to estimates on the sixth day. Looking at the collection of this film so far, 'Thappad' collected 3.07 crore on the first day, 5.05 crore on the second day, 6.54 crore on the third day, 2.03 crore on the fourth day and 2.21 crore on the fifth day.

Taapsee Pannu's 'Thappad' has collected a total of 20 crores so far. The total release cost of the film is 30 crores. Rs 23 crore is spent on making the film and Rs 7 crore is spent on promoting the film. The film has been released on 2300 screens in India and 400 screens in overseas. During an interview, Taapsee Pannu said, "Today it happens to three out of five women but most people do not talk about it for fear of insult."

She further said, "When I first got the script of Thappad, I cried a lot after reading it. If I have the strength as an artist, then I must raise such an issue using it." In the film 'Thappad', apart from Taapsee Pannu, Pawail Gulati, Maya Sarao, Ratna Pathak, Tanvi Azmi, Kumud Mishra, Geetika Vaidya, Ram Kapoor, and Dia Mirza are in important roles. It has been directed by Anubhav Sinha. In 'Thappad', Taapsee's husband slaps her during a party. The issue in the film is not to slap. The point is that even though there is a slap but a man cannot beat a woman.
