USA: Tafari Campbell, the former US president's sous chef, was identified as the body found in the water outside of his estate on Monday by Massachusetts police. According to reports, the African American man, 43, drowned while paddleboarding.

In a statement made public on Monday night, Barack and Michelle Obama said, "Tafari was a beloved part of our family." After they left in 2017, they met the sous chef at the White House and requested that he continue working for them. Since then, he has been a part of our lives, and his passing has left us heartbroken.

An adult male had vanished underwater on the south side of the island's Edgartown Great Pond around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, according to a 911 call from the Obama estate. The man was described as African-American and was dressed entirely in black, but he was not wearing a life jacket. The call was reported to the police as "possible drowning."
