Washington: The phenomenon of coronavirus becoming an epidemic and killing thousands of people has now become a cause of stress for many countries and the United Nations. Recently, after the attack on World Health Organization (WHO) on behalf of America and Japan, now another country has targeted. Taiwan on Thursday demanded an apology from the WHO chief after the WHO chief accused the Taiwanese government of carrying out personal attacks against him.

Taiwan has alleged that the WHO has lapsed into declaring the epidemic even after the coronavirus infection has spread badly in China. A Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Thursday, "Our country never encouraged people to make personal attacks against the WHO or make any racially discriminatory comments." He said, 'Our government demands a prompt explanation and apology from Director General Tedros for such an irresponsible act.'

Let us tell you that the Director General of WHO, Tedros Adhanom Gebreyes, on Wednesday appealed for solidarity to fight the coronavirus. After the press talk, Tedros had said adverse comments including racist remarks were being made to him since the start of this public health crisis. Tedros did not name Donald Trump, but he targeted the government in Taiwan.
