You may have seen advertisements for learning to drive cars, but now, institutions across the country are offering training programs to learn how to fly drones. These programs teach individuals how to operate drones weighing from 2 kg to 25 kg and more. Commercially trained drone pilots can find job opportunities in countries like Europe, America, and Australia. Anyone who has passed the 10th grade can enroll in a commercial drone training program. After completing the training, they can earn a starting salary of Rs 20,000 to Rs 1 lakh per month in India and abroad.

According to NSDC CEO Ved Mani Tripathi, the Siddhi platform has been launched to promote this initiative. He stated that the global drone industry is growing rapidly, and drones are being used in various sectors such as surveillance, agriculture, and disaster management. As a result, there is a high demand for trained drone pilots. The government is also promoting drone training programs.

Drone training is not necessary for those who fly small drones as a hobby, but it is mandatory for those who use drones for commercial purposes. According to the drone regulations issued by the government in 2021, commercial drone operators require training and certification. The DGCA issues a certificate to commercial drone pilots after they complete their training, as every drone has a unique UIN number and requires a commercial pilot to operate it, just like a car requires a licensed driver."
