Vijayanagar police station in-charge Rakesh Kumar Gupta said that the victim later lodged a case with the police. In which he said that two men took off his clothes, accusing him of stealing a mobile phone. Then he set fire to a thick pole and beat him mercilessly. Taking action in the case, the police have registered a case against the two criminals under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (causing hurt with dangerous weapons or means), 294. He said the culprits have been identified as Hetram Gurjar and Golu Muslims. The case is being investigated by the police.
