Kabul: The Taliban, the terror group, has so far taken control of 14 provincial capitals in Afghanistan and is heading for Kabul, the largest city there. However, the Taliban say the Sikhs themselves had removed their flag because they feared they could be tortured. According to the Taliban, its 'security officials' assured the Sikhs that no one would torture them, after which the flag was re-installed. The Taliban has praised the projects being run by India for Afghanistan's citizens and said India has already been doing so and it is commendable. But, at the same time, the Taliban have threatened that if India uses the army in Afghanistan, it will not be good for it.

Taliban spokesman Mohammad Suhail Shaheen has said that India must have seen the consequences of military activities in Afghanistan, so it is now up to them. Taliban spokesman Suhail also said that there have been reports of meetings between Indian representatives and the Taliban but it cannot confirm it. He said a meeting was held in Qatar's capital Doha in which an Indian delegation also participated.
