Tamil Actor Vikram was admitted to Cauvery Hospital in Chennai due to a major health issue on Friday. The 56-year-old actor.,Vikram was admitted due to a heart-related ailment. Vikram was supposed to participate in the trailer launch of the upcoming film 'Ponniyin Selvan' in Chennai at 6 PM.
Vikram’s spokesperson said the actor is undergoing treatment for fever. He has played one of the lead roles PS 1 in the two-part epic drama, which is written and directed by Mani Ratnam. There seems to be no change in the schedule of the event. It remains to be seen whether the makers go ahead without Vikram or postpone the event in the wake of recent developments.
Vikram is tamil actor who starred in a number of top-grossing Tamil films and is currently one of the reigning lead actors in Tamil cinema. Vikram is also known as Chiyaan Vikram and by his real name Kennedy John Victor. He has acted in Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi movies. He has also received national award, seven Filmfare Awards, Tamil Nadu State Film Award and the Kalaimamani Award of Tamil Nadu Government in 2004.
Vikram was last seen in Mahaan, which released on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year. The actor shared screen space with his son Dhruv Vikram in the Karthik Subbaraj directorial.
