Chennai: The third phase of the lockdown implemented to stop the spread of the Corona epidemic ends today i.e. on 17 May. At the same time, many state governments are pushing the lock down in view of the state of their state. Now the name of Tamil Nadu has also been included in this episode. In Tamil Nadu after Punjab and Maharashtra, the lock-down period has also been extended to 31 May.

Palaniswamy, the state CM, announced the fourth phase of the lockdown in the state. The duration of the third phase of lockdown implemented across the country ends on Sunday, while lockdown 4.0 is starting from Monday. During the lockdown 4 in Tamil Nadu, no relaxation will be given in 12 districts of the state including Chennai. However, lockdown restrictions will be relaxed in 25 districts of the state including Coimbatore, Salem, Trichy. Schools, colleges, religious places, cinema, theater and bars will remain closed following the new order of the Tamil Nadu government.

Earlier on Sunday, the Maharashtra government announced a lockdown across the state. On Saturday, the Punjab government first announced to extend the lockdown till May 31. Let us tell you that there are 10,585 cases of Coronavirus infection in Tamil Nadu. 74 patients have died in Tamil Nadu from Corona.
