Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit and Chief Minister K Palaniswami have expressed grief over the demise of Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon recently. They paid tributes to him on Tuesday last. Lalji Tandon died on Tuesday in a hospital in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and he was 85 years old. His death has shocked many people and included the Governor of Tamil Nadu, Banwarilal Purohit, and Chief Minister K Palaniswami.

Recently, Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit said that Tandon's death was an irreparable loss to the people of India. He likewise expressed shock and grief over the death of the senior leader. He was a great leader, effective administrator, and a great man. He dedicated his entire life to the service of the people of India, especially Uttar Pradesh.

He said, 'Tandon was a cabinet minister in Uttar Pradesh, leader of the house in the assembly and leader of the opposition. He was an active member of the Lok Sabha. His death is an irreparable loss to the people of India.' Banwarilal Purohit further expressed his deepest condolences to the family of Tandon and said that he prays to God for the peace of his soul. Whereas Chief Minister Palaniswami said in a statement, "The people of Uttar Pradesh have suffered a great loss due to the death of Lalji Tandon." He further said that his condolences are with the bereaved family."
