Tamil Producer Dilli Babu Passes Away at 50

Tamil film producer Dilli Babu has tragically passed away at the age of 50. He died in Chennai in the early hours of September 9, around 12:30 a.m. His death has sent shockwaves through the Tamil film industry. Dilli Babu’s remains have been taken to his residence in Perungalathur, Chennai.

The funeral is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on September 9. Dilli Babu had been receiving treatment at a private hospital, but the cause of his death has not yet been made public.

Producer SR Prabhu from Dream Warrior Pictures expressed his grief, stating, "Deeply saddened by the loss of producer #Dillibabu of @AxessFilm Factory. So many young and new talents were supported by him. A big loss to the film industry. My condolences to the friends and family! Rest in Peace!!"

Director ARK Saravan, known for Maragadha Nanayam, also shared his condolences on social media, saying, "Dilli Babu sir (heartbreak emoji). He gave me life through the film Maragadha Nanayam. Tamil cinema has lost a good human being, good producer, and a good achiever. My heart refuses to believe it. #RIP Dillibabu Sir..."

Dilli Babu, through his production company Axess Film Factory, was known for successful films like 'Ratsasan' and 'Maragadha Naanayam.' His production career began in 2015 with 'Urumeen,' and he went on to produce several notable films, including 'Maragadha Naanayam,' 'Iravukku Aayiram Kangal,' 'Oh My Kadavule,' 'Bachelor,' 'Miral,' and 'Kalvan.' He had more Tamil projects in the pipeline at the time of his passing.
