CHENNAI: Dravida Munnetra Kazhgam legislator TRB Rajaa was sworn in as a Minister in the Tamil Nadu Cabinet today, May 11, 2023 morning. Governor RN Ravi administered the oaths of office to Rajaa at a ceremony in the Raj Bhavan in Chennai attended by Chief Minister M K Stalin and others.

Chief Minister MK  Stalin and other ministers were present. Following the swearing-in ceremony, the Governor RN Ravi had a photo session with the Chief Minister and the council of ministers.

Dravida Munnetra Kazhgam  parliamentary party leader and former Union Minister TR  Baalu after the swearing-in ceremony told media persons, "He has to bring in laurels to the government and grow by leaps and bounds in the days to come." 

Notably, the Tamil Nadu Governor had on Tuesday, May 9, approved the recommendation of the Chief Minister to include Rajaa into the cabinet.

It is also to be noted that Tamil Nadu Minister for Dairy Development SM Nasser was dropped from the cabinet.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K Stalin today, reshuffled his cabinet making changes to the portfolio of five ministers including Palanivel Thiaga Rajan. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan was relieved to information technology and digital services after being freed of the Finance responsibility. Dr. Palanivel Thiaga Rajan was replaced by Thangam Thennarasu, who was assigned the finance, planning, and human resources management responsibilities.
