Islamabad: A shocking case of alleged honor killing has come to light in Pakistan's Punjab province. Here a man has burnt alive his estranged wife. The local police has informed about this. Giving information about the incident, the police said that the suspect Tariq burnt alive his 40-year-old wife Shazia on Tuesday in Chichavatni district, about 209 km from Lahore. 

According to local media reports, police officer Ejaz Aslam has informed that Shazia had left Tariq a year ago due to differences on domestic issues and started living with her parents. Ejaz Aslam has told that, Tariq suspected that Shazia was having a relationship with a person from that area. 

According to the report, on Tuesday he went to his in-laws' house and doused Shazia with petrol, set her on fire and fled. Shazia was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was declared brought dead. She has left behind two daughters and four sons. Police has registered a case against Tariq and arrested him.
