New Delhi: Tata Motors, one of the country's leading automobile companies, has announced the launch of its new electric vehicle. After the launch of Nexon EV last year, the company has now launched an electric version of the Tigor. This car can be booked for just Rs 21,000 at select Tata Motor dealerships. It is being told that its sale can start from August 31.

This car will be launched in Teal Blue color. Information about its rate and range will be given at launch. The Tigor EV will have a maximum power output of 55 KW and a maximum torque of 170 Nm. This car will accelerate from 0 to 60 kilometers per hour in 5.7 seconds. It has a 26 KWh Lithian Ion battery. The battery is waterproof and comes with a battery and motor guarantee of 8 years and 1,60,000 km.

The battery in this car works with the CCS2 charging protocol and can be charged fast or slow with a 15A plug point. More than 30 connected features are available in this car, including remote commands. The company plans to increase its presence in electric vehicles. With this, the country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki is likely to get tough competition.
