The Tata Punch has emerged as the top-selling car in India in June 2024, with sales of 18,238 units. The Punch, which is Tata's most affordable SUV, has been gaining popularity steadily. This month, five SUVs, three hatchbacks, one sedan, and one MPV made it to the list of top-selling cars. According to sales data, Tata Motors sold 18,238 units of the Punch in June 2024, surpassing the Maruti Swift, which had been the best-selling car in the Indian market until now. The Swift sold 16,422 units last month, trailing behind the Punch by 1,816 units.
The Hyundai Creta came in third with sales of 16,293 units, followed by the Maruti Ertiga with 15,902 units, and the Maruti Baleno with 14,895 units. The Maruti Suzuki WagonR sold 13,790 units and ranked sixth, while the Maruti Dzire sold 13,421 units and came in seventh. The Maruti Brezza sold 13,172 units and ranked eighth, followed by the Mahindra Scorpio with 12,307 units, and the Tata Nexon with 12,066 units.
The Tata Punch has been in high demand due to its design, affordability, and safety features. The SUV offers good ground clearance, excellent features, and a strong build. It has also received a 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. Additionally, the Tata Punch is available in three powertrain options - petrol, CNG, and electric. The Punch was launched in the Indian market in 2021 and has been a consistent best-seller for Tata Motors. Its sales have crossed 18,000 units this month, making it the highest-selling car in India."
