New Delhi: Amidst the era of global epidemic coronavirus, where all companies are laying off employees, IT sector giant Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has made a big announcement. TCS has announced to give jobs to 40 thousand freshers from campuses across the country. Last year too, the company had given jobs to about the same number of freshers.

This year, the recruitment of the company is also important in the sense that in the midst of the Corona crisis, all the companies facing financial crisis are giving lay off. But TCS has not made any cut in its recruitment plan. Not only this, but TCS has also decided to double the campus placements. TCS CEO Rajesh Gopinathan recently said, "In view of the positive demand environment, the company is gradually starting lateral hiring. Due to the uncertainty of the Corona virus, it was stopped, but we will follow all our previous plans."

According to the results released last week, TCS profit in the June quarter has fallen by only 7 percent to Rs 7,049 crore as compared in April.
