At least two teachers of the Udalguri girls’ higher secondary school in Assam have tested positive for COVID-19. On Thursday, both teachers were found to be infected with the COVID-19 virus. Dilip Kumar Sahariah, the school's principal, notified this correspondent of the development.
The incident has been reported to the concerned inspector of schools in the Udalguri district, as well as the district's joint director of health services, according to Sahariah.COVID-19 tests will be conducted to the school's teachers, workers, and students on Friday.
Meanwhile, with mounting worries about the spread of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, the positive instructors' samples are scheduled to be sent for genome sequencing.
