Comparing with other states, Lokesh said Telangana provided financial assistance of Rs 2,000 per month and 25 kg of rice per month to private teachers. Karnataka announced a relief package of Rs 5,000 for primary school teachers. Similarly, on the lines of what other state governments have done, AP should have immediate financial and in-kind transfers to their families in the short term.
