Centurion: Team India defeated South Africa by 113 runs in the first test match played in Centurion. Chasing a target of 305 runs, South Africa were reduced to 191 runs. This is the first Test victory of Team India on the ground of Centurion. Earlier on the fourth day, the second innings of the Virat Brigade was reduced to 174 runs.

Rishabh Pant contributed 34 and KL Rahul 23 in India's second innings. Captain Virat Kohli failed once again and was dismissed after scoring just 18 runs. For South Africa, fast bowlers Kagiso Rabada and Marco Jensen took 4 wickets each. After this, the team of North Africa, chasing 305 runs, faltered from the beginning.

By the end of the fourth day, the South African team had lost their four wickets for just 94. After which his remaining 6 wickets returned to the pavilion by adding just 97 runs. In the second innings of Africa, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami took 3 wickets each while bowling brilliantly for India, while Mohammad Siraj and Ashwin got 2-2 wickets. Captain Dean Elgar scored the highest 77 runs for Africa. With this win, Virat Kohli has become the first Indian captain to register a win in Centurion.
