New Delhi: The three-match ODI series between India and the West Indies will begin today with the first match to be played at queen's park oval, Port of Spain Stadium in Trinidad. In the absence of senior players, Shikhar Dhawan will be seen captaining the team. In view of the T20 World Cup, the selectors have decided to give rest to senior players like Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Virat Kohli, Mohammed Shami and Rishabh Pant. In the ODI series against the West Indies, India will have a golden opportunity to set two big world records.

Record for most series wins against a team:-

Since 2007, Team India has not lost a single series at the hands of the West Indies. In the last 15 years, India has beaten the West Indies 11 times. India is at the top of the list with Pakistan in terms of beating any one team the most series in at least three-match series. Pakistan has beaten Zimbabwe in 11 consecutive series from 1996 to 2020. If Team India wins this three-match ODI series, it will overtake Pakistan and set a world record.
