Tejaswi Yadav demands resignation of Home Minister over rising crime rate in Bihar

Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar claims good governance. He talks about crime and criminals strictly, but the culprits of Bihar are unafraid. The Bihar State Crime Records Bureau figures are revealing shocking things about government claims. According to data released by the bureau, 2406 people have been killed in the state between January and September this year. 1106 rape cases have also been registered.

These figures show how the crime graph has seen a steady spurt in the past 9 months. In Bihar, 9 incidents of murder and four incidents of rape are taking place every day. Looking at the murder cases, most of the incidents have taken place in the capital Patna, where 159 people have been killed in 9 months. The second place is the Gaya district where 138 murders have taken place. Muzaffarpur ranks third with 134 murders in this period.

Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has also tweeted and targeted the government over the increasing crime incidents in Bihar. In a tweet, Tejashwi Yadav has sought the resignation of the state home minister. In a tweet, Tejashwi said that hundreds of murders, looting, kidnapping and rape in Bihar are the main achievements of the BJP-led government. The Home Minister should resign.
