Schools plan to reopen after Diwali celebrations. In this queue, the Telangana government plans to reopen schools for four months for the 2020-21 academic year. However, the reopening date is not yet finalized. In a meeting held by the Education Department, the majority of officials have suggested that schools should be reopened from December, including residential schools within the various welfare societies. Initially, classes 9 and 10 will be conducted.
However, all schools should follow the Kovid-19 rules issued by the state and central government when reopening. The state government calls for reopening of schools in view of the Kovid-19 situation. All educational institutions in the state have been closed since March due to the epidemic. However, with the start of the academic year, government schools have started online digital classes through T-SAT network channels and doordarshan since September 1, while private schools have been conducting online classes since June. The 10th class examinations in Telangana are due to be held at the end of April and will end by May 10.
