Corona: Government issues order, Ban on offering prayers in mosques

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has issued an order prohibiting the gathering of people in mosques across the state. The state government has issued this order in view of the danger of Corona before Friday prayers. The order states that, 'Both the Central and State Governments have issued a complete lockdown order. Apart from this, the Islamic University of Hyderabad Jamia Nizamia has also issued a fatwa regarding this.

It has been said in the fatwa that the Friday prayer is very important, but even after this, the life of human beings should also be given great importance. The Telangana government has urged people to offer namaz at their homes and not to gather more than five people in the mosque. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board has also asked people not to visit mosques. The board has said, "due to the coronavirus epidemic, Muslims are instructed to play at home and not go to mosques."

They have said that instead of coming out for Namaz, stay inside the houses. It is important for all of them to be safe and avoid harming other people as well. MP from Hyderabad and AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi has also appealed to the people to offer prayers at Juhur only. Owaisi said that the only way to win from this virus is to do social distancing and do not gather in large numbers.
